
Michelle L. Fordham possesses a wealth of knowledge and experience in real estate, mortgage finance, and insurance. She has been an active real estate agent since 1999. She is a pre-licensing instructor approved by the NC Real Estate Commission to teach the mandated course for those who seek to become licensed real estate brokers. In addition to her career in real estate, she has worked as a mortgage loan originator and as a property and casualty insurance agent. She is a graduate of the NC School of Science & Mathematics and Excelsior College. Michelle holds a Master of Business Administration degree from East Carolina University with a concentration in Development and Environmental Planning.
As a member of the National Association of Realtors, the North Carolina Association of Realtors, and the Kinston Board of Realtors, Michelle works to educate her clients about the process of buying and selling real estate. She consults with small business owners to explore the suitability of properties and locations for their operations. Michelle uses her expertise to analyze the profit potential of income-producing properties and to assist real estate investors in the decision-making process. She understands the economic realities that small business owners and investors face.
As a stakeholder in the community, Michelle is genuinely concerned about housing conditions and opportunities for families in eastern North Carolina. She is a past chairperson for the Family Selection Committee for the Lenoir County chapter of Habitat for Humanity and has helped facilitate new homebuyer workshops for local community development associations.
